Our Queen bed and king-size blankets are joined down the middle with Velcro. This allows you to separate the two halves for cleaning, as most machines cannot handle more than 5kg at a time.

It is too heavy, and it will be uncomfortable.
It is too light, and you won’t get the powerful calming benefit of deep pressure touch.
Occupational Therapists recommend that a weighted blanket be 10% of the user’s body weight. This gives the best calming effect and is safe to use.
If you are “in-between” weights or want to give a child room for growth, please choose the next size up.
The more oversized blankets require a heavier weight to give the same calming Deep Pressure Touch effect as the weight is spread over a wider area.
The maximum weight for a blanket is 8kg
