Mountains - Ntia Purrku Spirit of the Bush Designed by Jesse Sutton
This painting is called “Ntia Purrku” in the Kalkadoon language which means “Mountains” and this painting represents the many mountains in Kalkatungu country that are home to my people.
The Kalkadoon people were extremely tall and muscular due to the mountainous country and valleys they walked and climbed in, as well as their diet. They were one of the healthiest aboriginal clans, and this was attributed to their diet of wild game, fruits, vegetables, and fish.
There was an abundance of grass seeds, edible roots, vegetables, vines, capers, peas and berries and mineralised water from the rivers and streams. This painting is my interpretation of Kalkadoon Country with the undulating mountains and valleys that are home to my people.

Please allow approximately 3 - 4 weeks for the Sewing of Blanket and Delivery. We understand that quality takes time, and we appreciate your patience as we craft your perfect weighted blanket.
Our Queen bed and king-size blankets are joined down the middle with Velcro. This allows you to separate the two halves for cleaning, as most machines cannot handle more than 5kg at a time.

Occupational Therapists recommend that a weighted blanket be 10% of the user’s body weight. This gives the best calming effect and is safe to use. If you are “in-between” weights or want to give a child room for growth, please choose the next size up.
The more oversized blankets require a heavier weight to give the same calming Deep Pressure Touch effect as the weight is spread over a wider area.
The maximum weight for a blanket is 8 kg. Weighted blankets should NOT be used by someone under the age of 4 without supervision.
