Sensory Supports - Wooden Geoboard

This beautiful geoboard is made from stunning varnished beech and has an array of 49 stainless steel pins with domed heads to accept elasticated bands made from colourful cord. Children will develop fine motor skills as they pick and place these onto the pins.

Once in position, children will be able to stretch the bands to various pin locations, creating different shapes, patterns, and pictures. The board combines hands-on creative artwork with mathematical shape creation. Pins can accept several layers of different-coloured bands, allowing for sophisticated designs. Creating patterns on a geoboard is easy, with no mess. Unlike drawing, the shape can be immediately altered, modified, and changed endlessly.

For creating mathematical shapes such as a square, a triangle, or a hexagon, there is nothing better. Turning a scalene triangle, for example, into an isosceles one can be done in a flash, as can symmetry work and artistic open-ended picture making. And once completed, all the bands can be removed for use on another day.

The set comes with four differently coloured bands, each in 5 different lengths and a book of fantastic ideas to try.
