Bea Edwards is also known as Nambooka. Her grandmother taught her. She belongs to the Pyemmairrener indigenous language group. Bea was born in Tasmania, and currently she lives and works in Melbourne, Victoria. Nambooka is almost a household name in the Patchwork and Quilting industry in Australia and the USA, thanks to her famous design, Bambillah. Many of her artworks are in public galleries and private collections.

Nambooka’s art explores flora and fauna, indigenous development, nature, and spirituality. Her artwork is distinctive, unique and Aboriginal. Many of you may remember her most popular artwork – Bambillah “Mirram Mirram Aka” means Kangaroo Ground. This artwork is bold, colourful and graphic.

It shows that when you enter the grounds of Kangaroo, you will gain strength and stamina. The hunter would sit within the Kangaroo ground for some time before starting the hunt, gaining strength and stamina to ensure a successful hunt.

It is impossible to stock every size and pattern. Please get in touch with our team, and we will be happy to assist you.

Our Queen bed and king-size blankets are joined down the middle with Velcro. This allows you to separate the two halves for cleaning, as most machines cannot handle more than 5kg at a time.
