This 198-piece set offers a wide range of components to encourage children to build and create mechanical devices. In open discovery play, they can fix components to any STEM Wall, trolley, or table, adding pieces to see what happens.
There are 34 gears of different sizes, some of which have a winding handle, allowing them to drive other interconnected gears. There is a drive chain, two pulley belts, four pulleys (in two sizes), and a cage connector that enables pulleys to be connected, gears to be connected, or gears and pulleys to befixed to each other.
In addition, two panels (200mm x 400mm) with brackets connect them to a STEM Wall, providing another surface that can be set at 90 degrees to create mechanical systems in 3 dimensions!
There are more than enough components in this set to support an entire class or to extend the possibilities of a whole-school resource towards even greater STEM possibilities.
