NDIS Note for Weighted Toys

This extensive manual modification transforms our toys into adaptive tools designed to provide sensory regulation, tactile stimulation, and grounding for individuals with disabilities. The weight within these toys serves a therapeutic purpose, promoting calmness, focus, and comfort for users, particularly those with sensory processing disorders, autism, ADHD, or anxiety. These attributes are beyond the scope of standard, off-the-shelf recreational equipment, highlighting their specialised nature.

Moreover, the modification process we employ aligns with the NDIS objective of enabling participants to achieve their goals and engage meaningfully in daily activities. Weighted toys are a vital support for many individuals, helping to promote self-regulation and improve emotional and physical well-being.

As such, our weighted toys are not standard recreational items but carefully crafted, modified tools designed to meet the unique needs of NDIS participants. They provide functional and therapeutic benefits that standard toys cannot, reinforcing their classification as NDIS-eligible supports.
